We made our first sale!

On August 10, 2007 I Can Save Africa raised its first $1.50 by selling a sticker at its online store at Cafepress.

It is remarkable that our vision is starting to happen and we are now on our way to becoming a non-profit organization! Here is the sticker that we sold.

The Beginning of a Global Cause

I Can Save Africa, or iCan, is a non-profit, charitable organization that is trying to outreach to improve and save the lives of people living in Africa.

The whole idea came about 2 weeks ago, to a pair of students who are currently attending Arizona State University. After witnessing countless heroes on CNN's television program, the two students wanted to become heroes themselves. Now starting up a project that wants to Save Africa is a huge undertaking, but we believe we can do it.

The purpose of iCan is not to save Africa all at once, but to slowly improve the lives of the people in the poorest conditions. The goal is to find one specific problem in one community and find the most cost efficient and easiest way to solve that problem. If we can raise the money to help one community in Africa, even if it may be only 25 people, we have helped and then will be able to help another community of say 50 people. We want to be able to provide education, electricity, food, clean water; whatever it may be to help that community, we want to find a way to do it.

This is the beginning of something great. Stay tuned for more updates.

We also have a shop with merchandise such as shirts, sweatshirts, coffee mugs, bumper stickers and more dedicated to saving Africa. All proceeds will go directly into the iCan's funds to help save Africa, one step at a time.
